As one of your coaches here at Hailey Happens Fitness, I often share my favorite go-to meals and foods to give you ideas on your nutrition journey. Sticking to a few favorite foods and core meals each day can reduce decision fatigue, make macro tracking faster and easier, and simplify your life. When I began doing this my fat loss results improved and I found myself with much more brain space. The key is to eat foods you genuinely look forward to—meals that are satisfying, delicious, and fit easily into your macros without feeling like you’re “on a diet.”
When I say my favorite meals, I mean it. I eat them every single day and genuinely look forward to them. I often make something delicious like Cubano sandwiches for my sexy husband and teenage boys, and then toss my prepped salad with homemade dressing and we sit down at the dinner table. They don’t even blink anymore. Of course, we do have meals together that we all enjoy, like roasted turkey, asparagus, and sweet potatoes, but generally, I make them what they want to eat and I eat what I want to eat. And everyone is happy. I’m also mindful that they don’t think I’m "on a diet," so I always talk about how delicious my food is and how glad I am that they're enjoying theirs.
Recently, while sharing my own favorites with one of you incredible women, I became curious what the other coaches favorites are. So, I asked! You'll notice a theme in our answers: they're all incredibly similar and simple, and we all love sweet potatoes!
