Mikki is a Registered Nutritionist based in New Zealand with expertise in various fields including childhood obesity, workforce health and productivity, sports nutrition, and fat loss programs. She is passionate about helping people achieve their health goals through science based practices and approaches.

Heather Hirsch MD, MS, NCMP
Heather is board certified in Internal Medicine and specializes in women's health, particularly during midlife and menopause. She is passionate about empowering women to take charge of their menopause journey by becoming symptom free, educated and empowered during this stage of life.

Dr. Bill Campbell, PhD
Bill is a certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and a Professor of Exercise Science at the University of South Florida. He is a strong advocate for simplifying fitness so it can be enjoyable and sustainable. Bill has published multiple scientific papers on topics including sport nutrition, resistance training, and physique enhancement.

Abbie Smith-Ryan, PhD
Dr. Abbie Smith-Ryan is a distinguished exercise physiologist and sports nutrition researcher, currently serving as a Professor and Associate Chair for Research in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also holds roles as Director of the Applied Physiology Laboratory and Co-Director of the Human Performance Center.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the format of this course?
The 7-week course includes weekly, live, expert-led education sessions using zoom with time for Q&A. If you cannot make the session, it will be recorded and posted to the Hailey Happens Fitness app and web platform.
We introduce a new topic each week and add educational videos and takeaway sheets to the app to support your learning journey. We also will be including some OPTIONAL reinforcement activities and small group zooms to build community and troubleshoot. The course also includes a 12-week workout plan and a recipe book which will be added to the group.
When does the course start?
The course starts September 8th with (3) Onboarding Zooms prior to the course officially starting to orient you to the app and the course. We highly encourage attending or watching a recording of one of the onboarding zooms, especially if you are new to the HHF app.

Will the zooms be recorded if I cannot make the live calls?
Yes, the zoom meetings will be all be recorded and loaded into the app within 24 hours.
Will I be able to submit questions for the zoom calls?
Yes, we will have a form we send out after the first onboarding zoom which you can use to submit questions for our expert guests. This will allows us to answer as many questions as possible! We will also share the questions that were answered with the group so you know what is answered if you are watching the zoom recording.
Do you offer a meal plan?
No, this course provides you with the information on how to structure a macronutrient and calorie budget for your specific goal. What you do with your calorie budget is up to you and your individual dietary and nutritional preferences.
Do I need to have MyFitnessPal or another nutrition tracker?
No, and you don’t need to use any nutrition tracker for this course. We will teach you how to calculate a calorie budget for your goals and how to spread your macros across that budget. Join Shred Happens to put all that learning in place where we will support you with demonstrations on the basics of how to use one if you choose to do so during the Shred Challenge.
For how long do I have access to the course materials?
You have access to the course for the lifetime of the Hailey Happens Fitness App.
When are the education modules uploaded?
New materials will be added to the group (course) in the app every Monday which will include 2 educational videos with corresponding takeaway (summary) sheets plus optional reinforcement activities. Plan to spend around 1 hour per week watching the videos in addition to either attending or watching the zoom.

Is this Course an option for vegans or with other dietary preferences?
While this is not a meal planning course, we do include a Vegan friendly cookbook. We also discuss Vegan dietary preferences and the challenges with consuming adequate protein during our Popular Diet discussion in Week 4.
Is there a workout plan that comes with the course?
Yes, toward the end of the course, you are gifted a 12-week workout plan to do on your own. You have access to the plan for the lifetime of the Hailey Happens Fitness App. The workout plan will include three full-body strength workouts and three cardio workouts (both LISS and HIIT/SIT) each week. The plan is focused on fat loss, so it includes high rep, high volume strength sessions. The plan also offers both GYM and HOME (limited equipment) options. For the HOME workouts, you will only need a set of dumbbells, long and short resistance bands, a bench and a Swiss ball.
