I AM LOOKING FOR A MEAL PLAN. DOES THIS CHALLENGE PROVIDE ONE?
We do not provide a meal plan in this challenge. We provide you with a calorie budget as well as a macronutrient budget that you can tailor to your specific dietary needs.
​I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO A GYM. IS THERE A PROGRAM OPTION FOR ME TO DO AT HOME?
Yes! Both of our beginner and intermediate programs offer at home strength training versions. You get access to both.
​I AM LOOKING FOR AN ACCELERATED WEIGHT LOSS COURSE. IS THIS THE RIGHT CHALLENGE FOR ME?
No, this is not a fast paced weight loss course. The calorie budget we provide is a ball park (closest estimate that we can give you with the information we have) and the energy (calorie) deficit is modestly aimed at losing ½ -1 lb per week over 6 weeks (weight loss is not a guarantee). We will have detailed information about this on the onboarding call which is scheduled for October 20th and you will receive an email with the ZOOM information for that Onboarding call. If you feel like your number is too low OR if you do more than one hour of the planned exercise that we give you, you will need to eat a bit more. The calorie budget has already been accounted for with the exercise in the course. If you are looking for a lot of education around nutrition, you would want to join our Fat Loss Happens or Nutrition Happens courses.
WHAT EQUIPMENT IS NEEDED FOR THIS COURSE?
If you are working out from home, you will need the following: dumbbells (preferably a few different weights), long resistance band, short resistance (booty) band, Swiss ball (optional), and a TRX (optional). If you are working out at a gym, you will need the equipment above as well as a leg press, leg extension, leg curl, back extension, and barbell (dumbbells can be used in the place of a barbell).
HOW LONG DO I HAVE ACCESS TO THIS COURSE?
Anything you purchase from me, you will get lifetime access to it (for the lifetime of the Hailey Happens Fitness App).
HOW LONG ARE THE WORKOUTS?
We provide both 60 and 30-40 min strength workouts and 30-60 min cardio workouts.
HOW MANY DAYS A WEEK IS THIS PROGRAM?
Being that the goal for most women joining the challenge are wanting a modest amount of fat loss over the six weeks, we will need to move six days a week to create energy expenditure that will produce weight loss. Each week has 3 strength training days and 3 cardio days (mix of LISS and HIIT/SIT).
IS THIS MAX STRENGTH HEAVY LIFTING?
No, this isn’t. The goal of this program is fat loss, therefore, we have to be in an energy deficit which requires us to either move more or eat less. Research shows that higher volume programs burn more calories and since the goal is to maintain muscle and lose fat, this is the best approach. ARE THERE EXPERT LEAD ZOOMS LIKE THERE ARE IN YOUR OTHER COURSES?
Yes! We have special guest experts, Dr. Jessica Shepherd, Mikki Williden, PhD, and Dr. Darren Candow, alongside myself over the six week period.
HOW OFTEN DOES THE PROGRAMMING CHANGE?
The workout program changes to new programming every two weeks to provide the body 2 weeks to adapt and move on to new programming during the six weeks. We don’t rotate weekly as we want to give the body a chance to get enough out of the program before we move on. Honestly, I would love each program to be 3-4 weeks. if only the challenge was longer. You can repeat this program and add weeks after the course is over if you like, or consider adding on Results Happen when you checkout as it is a big discount on this 8-week plan.
HOW ARE THE WORKOUTS PROVIDED?
All of the workout information and exercises will all be housed in my app, Hailey Happens Fitness. You will find everything you need in the groups tab “Shred Happens” once the challenge starts on October 20th. The workout plans or any of the group resources will not be available prior to October 20th.
I HAVE A HISTORY OF DISORDERED EATING, IS THIS IS A GOOD OPTION FOR ME?
No, I wouldn’t recommend this challenge if you have struggled with disordered eating.
I HAVE INJURIES, ARE THERE MODIFICATIONS?
Unfortunately, we cannot have alternates for every injury, but you can tailor the program to work for you. If you have not been cleared by a medical physician for challenging exercise, you should not participate in this program.
I DO NOT HAVE FACEBOOK. WILL I MISS OUT IF I DON’T?
While the group discussion by other participants will take place on Facebook, you are not required to join the Facebook group. All of the important information will be given to you in the group tab of the app. We will send out a link to join the Facebook group a few days prior to the challenge starting.
DO I HAVE TO MEASURE AND TRACK MY FOOD?
No. You can make this challenge what you need it to be. Some will track, others won’t. This should be fun! While what gets measured, gets managed, you are not required to measure and track your food.
